Adidas Malaysia Unveils Official Ball For Euro 2012

KUAL LUMPUR, Dec 3 (Bernama) -- Adidas Malaysia Sdn Bhd Saturday unveiled the Adidas "Tango 12", the official ball for the European Football Championship 2012 (Euro 2012) which will be held in Poland and Ukraine from Jun 8 until July 10 next year. The global launch of the ball was unveiled by former Ukrainian pole vaulter Sergey Bubka during the official draw of the quadruple tournament at National Arts Palace in Kiev, Ukraine on Friday. According to Adidas Malaysia Brand Communication and Sports Marketing Manager Bryan Gee, Tango 12 balls have been tested by top footballer such as Ashley Cole of England and Petr Cech of Czech Republic and several European clubs such as Bayern Munich of Germany and AC Milan of Italy. "The ball was designed for modern football, means for faster movement of the players and uses the technology that enables better control for goalkeepers," he told reporters after the unveiling of the ball at Pavillion shopping mall, here, Saturday. Tango 12 is the 11th official match ball produced for the Euro tournament which was started in 1963. Gee said Adidas was committed to continuously producing world class balls for any tournament especially for the European tournaments. The ball, priced at RM399, is now available at all Adidas store. -- BERNAMA
