AirAsia Removes Counter Check-In Fee For International Flights

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 22 (Bernama)-- AirAsia is abolishing the counter check-in fees for all international flights throughout its route network. All bookings made on December 22 onwards will be exempted from the RM10 per passenger for counter check-in. In a statement Wednesday, AirAsia Group Chief Executive Officer, Tony Fernandes said the low cost airline had recently also reduced the processing fee for the usage of charge cards during flight bookings from RM8 per guest sector to only RM5 per guest per sector. The direct debit transaction remains free of charge with seven of their bank partners in Malaysia. International guests who have pre-paid the counter check-in fees from September 21 to December 21 may obtain a credit shell by contacting customer care via the e-form at http://www.airasia.com/my/en/faqdetailsform.html.
