Confidence in Turkey Grows

ISTANBUL (A.A) - Turkey's finance minister said on Wednesday that there was more confidence in Turkey today when compared with the past.
Mehmet Simsek said Turkey's risk perception had been better these days, and Turkey had underwent a serious stress test.
"In fact, confidence in Turkey has been up significantly when compared with the past, which is a great advantage for us," Simsek said during a meeting of the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) in Istanbul.
"In my opinion, this is a significant indicator that we can overcome a possible new shock easily without a permanent destruction," Simsek said.
Simsek said the government's aim was to reduce Turkey's fragility in 2012 and afterwards, and therefore the government aimed to keep public finance, i.e. public debt stock's ratio to national income, and the budget deficit's ratio to national income in a decline trend for the upcoming three and four years.
