Foreigners prefer Turkey as tourist destination

ISTANBUL (A.A) - December 29, 2011 - An executive of a travel search site's office in Turkey said on Thursday that Turkey was a destination mostly preferred by foreigners. Skyscanner Turkey's marketing director Murat Ozkok said that Turkey was getting more and more known each passing day, and had become a country mostly preferred by tourists thanks to its economic and political stability. "Britain tops the countries searching plane tickets for Turkey for the last two years," Ozkok told AA correspondent. Ozkok said Germany came the second and Russia the third in 2011.  Britain again topped the countries for which Turkish citizens searched for plane tickets in 2010 and 2011, then came Britain, Ozkok said.
