Delivery stops on Kirkuk-Yumurtalik oil pipeline

BAGHDAD (A.A) - Delivery stopped on the Kirkuk-Yumurtalik oil pipeline on Thursday. An official with the Iraqi Oil Ministry said that the delivery stopped due to lack of sufficient reserves in the Iraqi side. The official said that there were recently technical problems associated with oil extraction in the Kirkuk region and reserves had fallen down. The Iraqi side is trying to increase the amount of reserves of oil and delivery may resume within hours. The Kirkuk-Yumurtalik oil pipeline delivered around 550,000 barrels of oil daily. In the past few days, the daily amount fell to 350,000 barrels.
