Turkey hosts tourists from several countries

ANKARA (A.A) - There has been a remarkable rise in number of tourists visiting Turkey from several countries such as Indonesia, Philippines, Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Norway. According to the data posted on the website of Turkish Culture and Tourism Ministry, the number of foreign tourists who visited Turkey in the first 11 months of 2011 rose by 10.18 percent to 30.2 million when compared to the same period of last year. The number of American tourists visiting the country increased by 18.45 percent to 733,193 year-on-year the period between January and November of 2011. Number of tourists from Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Venezuela as well as from the Middle East and Arab countries also increased in the mentioned period.  German, Russians and Brits topped foreigners visiting Turkey between January and November 2011. 4.2 million German tourists visited Turkey in the mentioned period.
