Turkish exports reach 134.6 bln USD in 2011

ANKARA (A.A) - January 2, 2012 - Turkey's economy minister said on Monday that exports reached 134.6 billion USD in 2011. Zafer Caglayan said Turkish exports were up 18.2 percent year-on-year in 2011 and rose to 134.6 billion USD. "It is a record in the Republic's history," Caglayan told reporters in Ankara. Caglayan said Turkish exports were up 4.5 percent year-on-year in December 2011 and reached 12.1 billion USD. "It was the highest export figure recorded in December in the last 37 months," Caglayan also said.
