Turkey's largest social center for women to open in Izmit

KOCAELI (A.A) - January 2, 2012 – Turkey's largest social center for women will be established in Izmit town of the northwestern province of Kocaeli on an area of 40 decares. Izmit Mayor Nevzat Dogan told AA on Monday that the social life & skill development center for women would be set up near Cephanelik district of Izmit, and it would be comprised of pools, baths, sauna, massage halls, solarium, beauty center and sports center. Dogan added that women would get courses on cooking, jewelery design, foreign language, fashion design, wood painting, glass painting, sewing, painting, music, sculpturing and ceramics in the center. Dogan said that the construction of the center would begin in March, adding that they were planning to complete the construction by the end of the year. He noted that at least 500,000 women could benefit from the center.
