European investment bank grants over 2 bln Euro loan to Turkey

BRUSSELS (A.A) - January 2, 2012 - The European Investment Bank (EIB) provided Turkey with 2.043 billion Euro of loan in 2011. The bank's loans to Turkey were up 5.6 percent year-on-year in 2011. The EIB gave the highest loan to Turkey's Ankara-Istanbul high-speed train project. The loan was around 400 million Euro.  Loans the EIB provided to Turkey in the last five years reached 11.5 billion Euro.
