Temperatures in eastern Turkey go down to minus 25 degrees Celsius

ERZURUM (A.A) - January 5, 2012 - Temperatures in eastern province of Agri went down to minus 25 degrees Celsius, the lowest in eastern part of the country. Meteorology officials said that freezing conditions and heavy snowfall adversely affected daily life in East Anatolia Region. Officials warned drivers against icy roads in the region. Temperatures were minus 25 degrees Celsius in Agri, minus 24 in Erzurum, -18 in Kars, -14 degrees in Ardahan and minus 8 degrees in Igdir.
