KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 14 (Bernama) -- Local retail investors should be more
exposed to the Asean market, says Maybank Investment Banking Chief Executive
Officer, Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz.
"Right now, most of the opportunities are taken up by institutional fund

investors on how to invest in the Asean Market.
"We need to have the right tools. With this conference, we are trying to
educate the Malaysian public on the possibilities of investing in Asia, because
we look at the Asian market as one," he added.
He said that the other important tool is to utilise the latest technology as
assist with investments, adding, people today are using the I-Pad, I-Phone and
the Blackberry among others, to serve this purpose.
Meanwhile, Zafrul said Maybank investment will be launching its mobile
Global Online Training platform soon, and it can be downloaded for free by
customers from its website.
"Currently, the platform is only available for computers, with customers
having to log on to the internet and so forth. But we don't have a specific
application that you can click on to upload onto your phone," he added.
He said that Maybank Investment is in the midst of securing the approval of
the I-Phone, Blackberry and other smartphone company providers, for the
