Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ Young Mongolian athletes took part in the 1st Winter Youth Olympic Games held on January 13-22 in Innsbruck, Austria. The team was represented by D.Osokhbayar--competed in the boy's 10 km classical and sprint contests of cross-country skiing event and took 42nd place, and by A.Enkh-Ariun--competed in 500 m, 3,000 m and mass start contests of speed-skating event and took 14th, 14th and 20th places respectively. ** ** ** Free-style wrestlers of the state selected team will compete in the Golden Grand Prix named after twice-Olympic champion Ivan Yarygin to run January 26-29 in Krasnoyarsk, Russia. The men and women's teams of Mongolia have comprised D.Tsogtbaatar, G.Amarkhuu (men's 55 kg), E.Nyam-Ochir, B.Nemekhbayar, B.Osokhbayar (60 kg), G.Tserenpuntsag (66 kg), O.Uitumen, B.Nomindalai (84 kg), N.Zolboo (96 kg), J.Chuluunbat (120 kg), Ch.Ganchimeg, Ts.Tsendjav (women's 48 kg), B.Nomin-Erdene, L.Khongorzul, A.Tsendsuren (55 kg), T.Monkhtuya, A.Chantsalnyamaa (59 kg), B.Oyunsuren and O.Burmaa (72 kg). The heavy-weight wrestlers will also compete in the 23rd international tournament of I.Yarygin. They are coached by A.Tserensodnom, B.Bayaraa and Ts.Bayarsaikhan. Kh.Ganbold and B.Tomorbaatar will serve as judges at the competitions.
