300 Sailors From 21 Countries To Compete In ASC 2012 Held In Langkawi

LANGKAWI (Kedah, Malaysia), Feb 3 (Bernama) -- The Asian Sailing Championships (ASC) in Langkawi (north Malaysia) from Feb 16 to 25, has attracted 300 sailors from 21 countries. Malaysian Yachting Association general manager Mohd Afendy Abdullah said sailors from Qatar, Korea, Singapore, Japan, India, Taiwan, Pakistan, China, Kazakhstan, Myanmar, Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Malaysia and the Philippines have confirmed their participation. Singapore are sending the biggest contingent of sailors for the championships with a 35-member sailing team to participate in the inaugural championships that will feature 14 events, he said. -- BERNAMA
