Philips Launches '+' Project In Thailand

SINGAPORE, Feb 8 (Bernama) -- Royal Philips Electronics has launched the '+' Project in Thailand. In a statement Wednesday, Philips said the project, a multi-year regional Asia-Pacific programme, aimed to improve the health and well-being of people in the region. "The project will first crowdsource for ideas to improve health and well-being across three themes -- Livable Cities, Healthy Living and Access to Healthcare -- where the best ideas in each theme will be realised through Philips-led projects," it said. It said the launch in Thailand came at a time where the second leg of the ‘+’ Project’s Indonesia campaign had started. It said during this phase, three winning ideas will be selected through a mechanism combining popular voting and expert jurying. Philips said it will take the lead in bringing winning ideas to life and deliver them, where possible and relevant, in cooperation with various stakeholders. "The company has committed to fund each project with a budget up to US$50,000," it said. Local campaigns of the ‘+’ Project are slated to be launched across Asia-Pacific, including Malaysia, in the coming months. -- BERNAMA
