Malaysian Armed Forces Officer Serving Under UNIFIL Dies In Lebanon

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 9 (Bernama) -- A Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM - Angkatan Tentera Malaysia) personnel serving as the Staff Officer under the United Nations Interim Force In Lebanon (Unifil) died of a heart attack on Monday. Defence Ministry Corporate Communication Unit in a statement here Wednesday, said Lieutenant Colonel Habibullah Ismail, 42, breathed his last at Jabal Amel Hospital in Tyre, Lebanon at about 8.30pm. His remains are expected to arrive at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Malaysia at 8.30pm tomorrow (Feb 9). "From KLIA, the remains of Habibullah will be taken to the Royal Malaysian Air Force (TUDM - Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia) base in Subang (Selangor, Malaysia) near here before being flown to Sultan Abdul Halim Airport in Kedah (north Malaysia) on a TUDM C-130 aircraft.
