Government Will Continue To Explore New Ideas To Serve The People Better - M'sian PM
PUTRAJAYA, Feb 13 (Bernama) -- The Malaysia government will continuously
explore new ideas and approach to identify effective ways to solve problems and
ensure efficient service to the people.
Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak said the government's
administration was always in search of ways to achieve a positive outcome
through an effective and efficient management within a minimum allocation.
"What we aspire through the support of our partners in the administration is
to be focused and committed to provide unwavering service to the people," said
Najib at the Prime Minister Department's monthly gathering in Dataran Perdana
here Monday.
Najib said whatever services rendered must reach the target group - the
people - so that the people can enjoy such services in the spirit of the
'1Malaysia concept of People First, Performance Now."
He said the government was now focused on problem solving because there are
cross-cutting issues that need problem solving as a means of effective solution
compared with the conventional method that may be less effective.
Najib said any approach introduced earlier need not necessarily be
maintained just because it has been in place for a long time, instead what was
needed is new ideas, creative approach that can provide innovative solutions to
problem solving.
The Prime Minister said through the problem solving initiative, many issues
can be resolved quickly and effectively through the concerted efforts and
commitment of those entrusted.
He said the government would soon launch the Rural Transformation Programme
so that rural folks can also enjoy the benefit and changes brought about by the
government.
Najib said based on the country's 5.8 percent economic growth registered in
the third quarter of 2011, the country was on the right track to achieve the
aspired high income nation status by 2020.
The economy of the country has also blossomed positively since Malaysia
recorded the highest total trade of RM1.3 trillion (US$429.61 million) last
year, he said.
