UN praises Saif bin Zayed's efforts

Abu Dhabi, Feb 16, 2012 (WAM) - H.H Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior on Tuesday received a certificate of appreciation and a special commemorative shield from UN officials in recognition of his support to the organisation's efforts to promote security and safety as well as cooperation between UN and the Interior Ministry. This came at a meeting on Wednesday between H.H Sheikh Saif with Dr Elissar Sarrouh, Representative of the United Nations Secretary General in the UAE, who is leading a delegation from UN Department of Safety and Security. Sarrouh, in remarks during the meeting, commended H.H Sheikh Saif and senior Interior Ministry officials for providing all forms of support to the UN Department of Safety and Security as well as to close cooperation between the two sides. She also expressed appreciation of the UAE's humanitarian efforts extend help to needy people worldwide. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
