CABINET MEETING IN BRIEF
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ At the cabinet meeting on Wednesday, the Ministers approved a list of the equipment that will be freed from the custom tariff and VAT.
From December 1 of 2011, the taxes exemption will enjoy imported and sold at domestic market agriculture tractors, combines, machines, mechanisms, also equipment for flour mills and irrigation, forestry technics and equipment, as well as fertilizers and plants protection substances.
- A plan has been approved to realize the works reflected in the 16th goal in the Millennium Development Goals of Mongolia. It concerns the water and hygiene constructions. Related Ministers have been tasked with implementing this plan. A financing required is to be issued from every year's state budget, from loans and aid given by donors, international banks and financial institutions. Aims of the action are to reduce from 60 to 40 percent a number of people who do not have an access to guaranteed resources of drinking water, and to decrease from 73 to 60 percent a number of those who do not have an access to refined hygienic constructions by the year of 2015.
- Since the law on energy has been amended, the cabinet has renewed the Energy Regulatory authority into the Energy Regulatory Committee and approved its rules and regulations. The Committee is responsible for managing actions such as producing, transmitting, distributing, providing, importing and exporting the energy. Other duties are to issue energy-related works special rights, to control and approve energy tariffs for the right-holders and consumers, to protect the sides' interest in a balanced manner, to set a fair competition among the right-holders.
- A draft law on auro roads, initiated by R.Bud MP, has been supported in principle, and several suggestions will be sent to him.
