SEMINAR ON EDUCATION FOR DEMOCRACY TO RUN

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reached an agreement with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to hold a seminar on the education for democracy. In accordance with the agreement, the seminar will take place on May 21-22, 2012 in Ulaanbaatar city expected to gather 25 experts and scholars from countries that have newly entered the democratic system and that are highly-experienced in democracy. Mongolia will send 25 delegates to this event. The UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Education Dr. Qian Tang will attend the seminar and will convey a video greeting of Ms. Irina Bokova, the UNESCO Director-General. The issue of education for democracy is one of the priorities of Mongolia who is chairing the Community of Democracies. The forthcoming event will be a big international measure in a scope of this matter. During the seminar, the 2nd meeting of the CD's working group on education for democracy will run. B.Khuder
