Lesotho High Commission In Malaysia Wins USA Web Awards

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 23 (Bernama) -- The Lesotho High Commission was the first African High Commission in Malaysia to win the United States of America (USA) Web Awards for Outstanding Creativity on its website last December. The website was designed and maintained by Malaysia's Limkokwing University of Creative Technology which has won Outstanding Achievement in Web Development Award for best information services website from the Web Marketing Association of the United States. The Kingdom of Lesotho also receives three International Davey Awards for outstanding creativity in presenting its pages, which is on tourism, best practices and homepage, last January. The High Commissioner of The Kingdom of Lesotho Ntsebe Kokome said the website for the Lesotho High Commission in Malaysia served to provide vital information to its online visitors for investment and travel purposes. “This is a high point for my country because these awards bring attention to the opportunities that are available in Lesotho. “I am very happy to have mooted the idea to build this website and I feel that no one could have done such a sterling job in designing the website as my country’s most valued partner in human capital development -- Limkokwing University,” she said at the Lesotho Web Awards Press Conference here on Thursday. Also present was Limkokwing University's senior vice-president Gail Phung, who presented the awards. Kokome said Limkokwing University works closely with the Government of the Kingdom of Lesotho and maintains campuses where close to 4,000 Basotho are pursuing their higher education. -- BERNAMA
