Felda Festival An Important Step To Expand Into Middle East Mart

From Mohd Iswandi Kasan Anuar ABU DHABI (UAE), Feb 23 (Bernama) -- The Federal Land Development Authority's (Felda) ten-day "A Glorious Malaysian Galore" festival beginning Thursday is an important step in the agency's expansion into Middle East market. Event manager, Gemba Marketing Sdn Bhd, said Felda's units would showcase their products here as part of the agency's development programme for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Gulf market. Its director, Sakinah Sheikh Osman, said the UAE, which has great reputation as a trading hub for the Gulf market, was the best place to start and offer Felda's range of products. "This event is an important step in Felda's expansion into Middle East market. Most of their products are of the best quality so that they can be widely commercialised," she told Bernama here on Thursday. Felda Group chairman, Mohd Isa Abdul Samad, officiated the event. The festival at the Mushrif Mall will showcase the products by Felda's settlers and the agency's units -- Delima Oils Products Sdn Bhd, Felda Trading Sdn Bhd and Koperasi Permodalan Felda. Other participants included Tourism Malaysia and Malaysia External Trade Development Corp. Sakinah said the festival would also highlight the glory, beauty and rich diversity of Malaysian culture and the commitment of Felda to serve its settlers community by bringing forth the whole galore of high quality products. "The festival will also showcase Malaysia as a country that is rich in culture especially its food and craft products," she said. -- BERNAMA
