MAS Business Class Travel Promotional Deals Get Encouraging Response
KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 24 (Bernama) -- Malaysia Airlines' (MAS) business class
travel promotional deals, which will run for three more days until Feb 27, 2012,
is receiving encouraging response.
In a statement today, MAS said the travel periods for these offers were from
now until end-August 2012 for Asean destinations and until end-June 2012 for
other routes.
It said for domestic travel, the most preferred destinations were Kota
Kinabalu, Penang, Kota Bahru and Kuching while Hanoi was the most sought-after
destination in Asean.
"Other popular destinations in Asean are Jakarta and Bali.
"Sydney is the most preferred international destination, with Melbourne and
Guangzhou coming in second and third," it said.
MAS said music lovers could travel in style to the Rainforest World Music
Festival in Kuching from July 13-15, 2012.
It said those who indulged in the business of chocolates could plan their
trips to London next month for Chocolate Festival which provided a rare
opportunity to meet some of the world’s best chocolatiers in one place.
For corporate leaders who wished to relax and unwind from their regular
hectic schedules, the airline has attractive fares to Sydney where the Sydney
Comedy festival would be held in April this year, it said.
"These offers also come in timely for those who wish to visit the Jakarta
Fair in June with wonderful displays of traditional dances and music.
"The promotional offer to Manila is useful for Malaysians who wish to attend
one of the biggest and most effective annual food show in the Philippines, the
World Food Expo held from Aug 1 to 4," it said.
MAS regional senior vice president for Malaysia and Asean, Muzammil Mohamad,
said business hubs continued to be the preferred destination for business class
travel.
"Demand is soaring for main destinations like Sydney, Melbourne and London.
We also noticed an increase in demand to fly to China, particularly to
Guangzhou. Guangzhou has a humid, hot sub-tropical climate.
"We expect to see an increase in bookings to these cities by the end of this
deal on Feb 27," he said.
The business class promotional deal is available through MAS ticket offices,
24-hour toll-free Call Centre at 1300 88 3000, at MAS Holidays (603 7843 4000),
through the website www.malaysiaairlines.com, and appointed agents.
