UAE's Central Bank issues commemorative silver coin for Khalifa International Date Palm Award

Abu Dhabi, March 11, 2012 (WAM) - The Central Bank of the UAE announced that it will be issuing a commemorative silver coin on the occasion of the 5th Anniversary of Khalifa International Date Palm Award. The face of the coin depicts the portrait of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the denomination while its back depicts the logo of this occasion. The 40-gram coin, 40 mm in diameter, will be made of an alloy of silver (92,5%) and copper (7.5%). Two thousand such coins will be issued and delivered to the Sheikh Khalifa International Date Palm Award and will not be available for sale to the general public through banks. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
