UNEMPLOYMENT RATE AND SOCIAL INSURANCE SECTOR AT STATISTICS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The number of unemployed reached 58.4 thousand at the end of February 2012, reflecting an increase of 19.9 thousand people or 51.6 per cent against the previous year. In the first two months of 2012, 406.5 thousand people were registered as insurers, of which 261.9 thousand or 64.4 per cent were those from the establishments, and 144.6 thousand or 35.6 per cent from the government budgetary organization. Compared to same period of the previous year, the number of insurers increased by 77.2 thousand or 23.4 per cent, of which the increased by 59.1 thousand or 29.1 per cent from establishments, and increased by 18.1 thousand or 14.3 per cent from government budgetary organizations. Social welfare pensions and benefits allocated to 53.7 thousand people, showing an increase of 2.5 thousand people or 4.8 per cent. Total amount of the fund increased by MNT 355.3 million or 7.0 per cent against the previous year. Money of MNT 119.0 billion was distributed by the Human Development Fund to 2.8 million people at a duplicated counting in the first two months of 2012. B.Khuder
