Federal National Council holds eighth session

Abu Dhabi, March 28, 2012 (WAM) - The Federal National Council (FNC) yesterday held its eighth meeting of the first ordinary session of the 15th legislative chapter here in Abu Dhabi under the chairmanship of Mohammed Ahmed Al-Murr, Speaker of FNC. The meeting was attended by Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, Dr. Anwar Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Minister of Federal National Council Affairs, Dr. Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs and Dr. Harib Saeed Al Amimi, President of the State Audit Institution. In his speech during the meeting, Al-Murr said that the State's participation in the Arab Summit to be held in Baghdad on Thursday highlighted the keenness of the country's leadership led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan on unifying the Arab nations, activating the joint Arab action and strengthening the role of its institutions for the welfare and benefit of the Arab nations. Al-Murr also expressed FNC's wishes for the success of the summit in reunifying the Arab nation, strengthening Arab solidarity and achieving the aspirations of the Arab people. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
