STATE HEAD RECEIVES ROZA OTUNBAYEVA

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ In Kyrgyzstan with the official visit, the President Ts.Elbegdorj received on Wednesday Ms. Roza Otunbayeva, a former President of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan. The President expressed satisfaction with meeting Ms. Otunbayeva "who has led a democratic reform in her country". Ms. Otunbayeva thanked the State Head Ts.Elbegdorj for visiting Kyrgyzstan and said she appreciates achievements Mongolia has gained in the democracy and a support Mongoia gives Kyrgyzstan in the democratic reform. “Chairing the Community of Democracies (CD), Mongolia has worked out a program aimed at propagandizing the democracy education. It means that the CD is working under a goal to give developing countries knowledge on values of democracy,” Mr. Elbegdorj said. He added that Mongolia is taking measures for refining upon the legal environment for mineral sector. The President said accompanying him big business delegation is expected to establish intensive ties with Kyrgyz businessmen and people. "In this, direct flights between our coutries are important," he added. Ms. Otunbayeva supported the State Head's views and highlighted an importance of the court and legal reforms in strengthening justice and in developing the good governance in Kyrgyzstan. She appreciated a position of Mongolia's President on women's participation inthe politics. “The mineral resource sector makes up to 10 per cent of Kyrgyzstan's total Gross Domestic Product, so our country urgently needs to study related experience,” she said.
