Iran's Gas Condensate Exports From Assaluyeh Surpasses $9b

Tehran, April 9, IRNA – A senior Iranian customs office official announced on Monday that Iran has exported over 12 million tons of various gas condensates, worth $9.119 billion, from Assaluyeh in Pars Special Economic Energy Zone in, Bushehr Province.
Managing-Director of the Pars Energy Zone's Customs Office Ahmad Pourheidari said that the exports were made during the past Iranian calendar year which ended March 19, 2012.
He stressed that the exports showed an increase of 16 percent in terms of weight and 43 percent in terms of value compared with its previous year.
Light and heavy polyethylene, gas condensates, propane, butane, benzene and paraxylene were among major products exported during the mentioned period, he said.
Countries such as China, Japan, UAE, India, Indonesia, The Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Turkey, Romania, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Afghanistan are considered as the main hub for exported gas condensates from Pars Special Economic Energy Zone./end
