Iran's Stands On Syria Quite Transparent : MP

Tehran, April 11, IRNA – An Iranian lawmaker stressed that Iran's policies regarding Syria are quite transparent. Kazem Jalali made the remarks while talking to reporters here Tuesday. He further warned against attempts to turn the issue of Syria into a security one and said such an act would be a mistake. He said that only Syrian nation itself is to make decisions on its political system. Jalali who is the reporter of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission condemned any foreign meddling in the internal affairs of Syria. The Islamic Republic of Iran stands with the Syrian nation and government as ever before, said the parliamentarian. He further hoped the Syrian government would take serious steps towards country’s reform. About Iran’s peaceful nuclear program, Jalali said, as confirmed by all international norms and regulations, Tehran believes that nuclear enrichment is its absolute right. He added the enemies are trying to create tension in cordial relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the regional countries./end
