Saeedlu: Expanding Iran-Iraq Ties, Priority Of Maleki's Visit

Tehran, April 23, IRNA – Vice-President for International Affairs Ali Saeedlu, said that the expansion of economic relations between Tehran and Baghdad is the most important priority of Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maleki's visit to Tehran. Speaking to IRNA here on Sunday, Saeedlu said Iran and Iraq are determined to enhance cooperation in the economic sector because there are abundant capacities for expansion of relations in the field. Noting that the value of trade exchange between Iran and Iraq is dlrs9.7b, Saeedlu said considering current conditions, it is possible to triple the figure.
