Official: $1b To Be Invested In 2nd Phase Of Mansouri Oil Field

Tehran, May 1, IRNA – Managing Director of Oil Development and Engineering Company Naji Sa'douni said on Tuesday up to one billion dollars will be invested in second development phase of Mansouri oil field. Sa'douni made the remark during a signing ceremony of the agreement to develop the second phase of Mansouri oil field which is to be carried out by Iranian experts and domestic financial sources. Announcing that the oil field currently produces 16,000 barrels of oil each day, he said the figure will rise to 20,000 bpd once the phase is operational. Mansouri oil field is situated a few kilometers into the northern parts of the Persian Gulf and 50 kilometers south of the Khuzestan province’s capital city Ahvaz./end
