Pakistan Calls For Expansion Of Media Co-op With Iran

Tehran, May 2, IRNA – Pakistan’s Ambassador to Tehran Khalid Aziz Babar called on Tuesday for expansion of media cooperation between the two countries. Speaking to IRNA, he said broadening of cooperation between Tehran and Islamabad would play a significant role in promoting mutual understanding between nations. Mutual understanding between nations help them monitor bilateral and regional developments, he said. Referring to IRNA’s initiative to launch Urdu news service, he said this will be a good assistance to Pakistani media fully cover news pertaining to Iran and the entire region in Urdu language. He also called on the two sides' media persons to exchange visits to increase their professional experiences. During his recent meeting with IRNA chief Ali Akbar Javanfekr, the two sides agreed to exchange media delegations between the two countries, he pointed out. Existing ties and relations between Iran and Pakistan can serve as an exemplary model for unity among Islamic states, he said./end
