Regional Co-op To Promote Education Level : Larijani

Tehran, May 2, IRNA – Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said here on Tuesday that strengthening cooperation among regional parliaments would help improve the level of education and public knowledge. Larijani made the remark in separate meetings with parliamentary delegations from China and Afghanistan participating in the 2nd Forum of Asia-Pacific Parliamentarians for Education (FASPPED) which kicked off in Tehran on Monday. Larijani stressed the important role the parliaments play in development of public education. He then voiced readiness of Iran’s Majlis for exchange of experiences with other parliaments. Pointing to boost in the level of friendly cooperation with Afghanistan and China, he reiterated that such cooperation would benefit all nations. They expressed their willingness to expand multilateral cooperation with the Iranian side./end
