SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE OF MONGOLISTS BEGINS IN WASHINGTON

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ An international scientific conference on Mongolian studies with a theme “Chingis Khaan - heritage of 850 years” kicked off on Friday in the Mongolia's Embassy in Washington D.C. Co-organized by the Embassy of Mongolia, the Cultural Center of Mongolia in the USA and the Institute of Defense Studies of Mongolia, the two-day conference has brought together some 30 scholars on Mongolian and Chingis Khaan studies from the USA, Canada, Turkey, Germany, Israel and Kazakhstan. A message from the State Head Ts.Elbegdorj was sounded at an opening of the conference. He greeted all participants of the conference on behalf of himself and of Mongolian people and state, and wished them big success. The president of the Mongolia's Academy of Sciences B.Enkhtuvshin also delivered his message to the gathered. The participants visited a photo exhibition named “Country of Mongolia in photos” opened the same in the Mongolia's Embassy.
