OVER 1,400 DISASTERS AND ACCIDENTS OCCURED

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ In the first four months of 2012, 1,461 disasters and accidents occurred. As a result, 45 people died, 0.9 thousand livestock and domestic animals were lost. By the types of disasters--1,313 fires on possessions, 13 cases of domestic animal madness disease, 10 accidents related to artisanal mining and rock falls and incidences of chemical substance usagey, 8 river and lake accidents occurred. Estimated damage caused by these disasters and accidents amounted to 3.9 billion togrog. B.Oyundelger
