Korean News Portal: UAE's success attributed to visionary leadership combined with people's unbounded confidence
Abu Dhabi, May 24, 2012 (WAM) - The sustainable mutual trust between the UAE leaders and the people seems to be a decisive factor and driving force behind the miraculous prosperity which transformed once a barren desert country to one major economic hub in the Middle East, Breaknews.com, one of Korea's leading news portals, reported Tuesday.
The fourth in a series of articles about UAE, Moon IL-suk, the portal's publisher and editor, lauded UAE's "miraculous success story", which he described as a "reflection of the visionary leadership of the late Sheikh Zayed, who is widely respected as founding father of the UAE." Moon attributed the phenomenal development of UAE in less than 40 years was to its visionary leadership and tolerance policies.
In his visit to the UAE last month upon an invitation from the National Media Council (NMC), Moon said he had seen with his own eyes the "unbounded confidence" in President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, being shown by UAE citizens.
He also highlighted the feeling of mutual trust between the people and the two leaders, the high sense of morality, tolerance and the freedom of the press in the UAE.
"Tolerance policies toward differing religion and beliefs, as well as cultures and ethnic groups, are among the key factors upholding socio-political stability of UAE," he added lauding the religious tolerance and strict law system in the UAE under which no one is above the law.
Moon spoke very highly of the moral fibre of the UAE society, which carries a strong emphasis on family, morality and personal responsibility, among others.
Connecting cultures is the prime value of the UAE which has one of the most accepting and welcoming cultural environments, Moon said, introducing his visit to the construction site of the "multi-faceted Saadiyat Island, where a great variety of cultural attractions such as Louvre Abu Dhabi and Guggenheim Museum are being constructed." – Emirates News Agency, WAM
