PRESIDENT HOLDS MEETINGS WITH HIS COUNTERPARTS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj taking part the 12th Meeting of the Council of Heads of Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) exchanged views on the bilateral relations and cooperation with his counterparts of some countries, and on matters being discussed at the meeting on Wednesday. The State Head held the brief meetings with V.Putin, the President of the Russian Federation (RF); N.Nazarbayev, the President of Kazakhstan; Hamid Karzai, the President of Afghanistan; and Islam Karimov, the President of Uzbekistan. At the Council Meeting, the member states intend to discuss issues and create documents regarding to a declaration on establishing the region for the everlasting peace, joint development and prosperity, basic guideline of the SCO's middle-term developmental strategy, political and diplomatic measures to be taken in case of threats in the regional stability, as well as the procedure of their implementation mechanism.
