Iran-Moldavia To Implement Joint Production, Research Projects

Tehran, June 10, IRNA - Deputy Minister of Agricultural Jihad Jahangir Pourhemmat and Moldavian Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Vasil Bumacov on Saturday called for implementation of joint agricultural production and research projects. In the meeting in held in Moldavia, Pourhemmat also suggested applying bio and nano-technologies in agriculture for controlling pests and production of vaccines for livestock. Both sides also underlined the need to hold workshops, execute joint agricultural projects, produce different agricultural crops in Moldavia and production of vegetables, herbs, saffron and herbal extracts in Iran. The Moldavian side praised Iran's technological progress especially in the fields of agricultural biotechnology, animal husbandry, poultry and processing industries. Pourhemmat expressed Iran's readiness to put Iran's agricultural experiences at the disposal of Moldavia./end
