CABINET MEETING IN BRIEF
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The cabinet meeting held on Wednesday discussed and approved a financial master report of the end of 2011. In conjunction with this, the report will be submitted to the parliament together with an audit conclusion.
According to the report, the revenue of budget execution had MNT 3 trillion, 351 billion and 389 million, and whereas the expenditure--MNT 3 trillion, 621 billion, 676 million and 200 thousand.
- The cabinet discussed an issue on a measure for improving benefits of investments, and then made a related resolution. Orders on the matter have been given to the Minister, governors of aimags, city Mayor and heads of agencies. An obligation has been given to general managers of budgets to work with efforts of economically dispose the budgetary expenditures and improve their efficiency.
- MNT 120 million will be allocated from the budget for organizing ceremonial measures of the National Great Celebration of Mongolia on occasion of the 806th anniversary of the Great Mongolian State and the 91st anniversary of the People's Revolution of Mongolia. It has been calculated that 870 million tugrigs is required to organize the ceremonial events.
- D.Khayankhyarvaa, the Minister of Finance; and D.Zorigt, the Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy are entrusted with tasks to carry out an arbitrary audit over the compensable and special-licensed areas which are involved in boundaries set by the law on banning mineral exploration and exploitation on and near riverheads, reserved areas with ponds, and with forests. These areas are owned by 124 special license owners for exploiting gold deposits. The government of Mongolia will take MNT 102 billion and 255 million from the special license holders for environmental damages, according to a calculation.
- The cabinet discussed and backed an issue on accepting a draft amendment to an agreement to be established with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). This matter will be discussed at the parliament session to ratify it.
- The government appreciated results of the 4th meeting of the Mongolia-Czech intergovernmental commission on the bilateral cooperation in trade, economics, science and techniques, held on April 24-25, 2012 in Ulaanbaatar city. An order was given to Ts.Dashdorj, the Minister of Road, Transportation, Construction and Urban Development and head of the intergovernmental commission for Mongolian side, to approve a related plan of measures and to control its realization.
- Related rule was approved for granting prizes named after academicians B.Renchin, Ts.Damdinsuren and B.Shirendev. This prize will be awarded to those who made significant contributions to the scientific and technological spheres of the country.
