Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ Two Mongolian swimmers left on Friday for the UK to participate in the London Games.
A sports master A.Tamir will compete in the men's 100 butterfly and a vice-master of sports G.Oyungerel--in women's 100 m breaststroke events. They had training in Ulan-Ude of Russia and in the Khangarid sports center at home in Erdenet city.
The same day, a farewell ceremony took place in the “Nukht” for judoists who are to compete in the Olympics. The national team for judo comprises nine judoists, they will leave for the UK next week.

Young basketball players will take part in the 6th Asian Junior Basketball Championship which will run from July 24 to August 1 in Beijing, China. It is co-organized by the Education Ministry of China, the Asian Children's Sports Federation, and the Children's Sports Federation of China.
Our national team consists of children from Institute of Physical Culture and Sports, a #44 secondary school, “Shine Mongol” high school, Mongolia's University of Science and Technology and University of Internal Affairs. They are coached by B.Damba, a teacher at the Institute of Physical Culture and Sports, and by S.Tulga, a head of the “TLG” NGO.
This year's competitions will run among teams of Mongolia, Iran, Thailand, India, Sri Lanka, Chinese Macau, Hong Kong, Malaysia, China and others.

An ambassador of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) and a retired professional football player of the French national team Christian Karembeu will visit Mongolia on August 30.
He will participate in a prize granting ceremony of the Rostaing Mongolia Trophy 2012 international adventure trophy tournament. A news conference on this tournament will called on July 23 in the “MN” info-center.
