Somali pirates to release S. Korean crew members: source
SEOUL, Oct. 16 (Yonhap) -- Eight South Korean crew members kidnapped last month by Somali pirates are set to be released, said a diplomatic source on Thursday.
The eight and 13 Burmese sailors aboard a 15,000-ton South Korean-flagged vessel
were captured on Sept. 10, when the cargo ship was seized by pirates off the
coast of Somalia.
"It looks like we will have good news," the source said without giving details.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is expected to announce their release soon,
according to him.
