SPEAKER MEETS GUNMA PREFECTURE DELEGATION

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ On Monday, the Parliament Speaker Z.Enkhbold received a delegation led by Masaaki Osawa, the governor of Japan's Gunma Prefecture. Mr Osawa thanked Z.Enkhbold for the audience and congratulated him on becoming the Speaker of Mongolia. He recalled that Z.Enkhbold and D.Gankhuyag MP had visited Gunma Prefecture and expressed satisfaction with the bilateral talks on developing the ties. In turn, the Speaker said the countries discussed a matter on making Ovorkhangai aimag and Gunma Prefecture twin provinces during a last year's visit of Ueno Kosei, an MP and former member of the cabinet, to Mongolia, and then reached an agreement on starting collaboration in it. Then the two sides agreed to establish a cooperation contract on making the twin provinces during a visit of Mongolia's Premier to Gunma Prefecture in March this year. Gunma Prefecture is one of the biggest industrial regions in Japan; this prefecture has many achievements in the medical sector As of today, 29 Mongolian students are studying in Gunma Prefecture majoring in medicine and agriculture as well. Z.Enkhbold emphasized an importance of introducing the latest Japanese medical hi tech to Mongolia and said the new cabinet will pay a great attention to this matter. He also underlined that it is important to study an experience of Gunma Prefecture in tourism sphere. B.Khuder
