Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ Mongolian boxers have defeated their rivals in the round of 16 and will compete for bronze medals in the men's boxing contests at the London 2012 Olympic Games. A State Honored Sportsman (men's 64 kg) beat Richarno Colin from Mauritius in the second round. In the contest for bronze medal, he will fight against Tom Stalker of the Great Britain, on August 8 in the ExCeL Exhibition Centre. Another Mongolian boxer N.Togstsogt (men's 52 kg) has defeated Vincenzo Picardi of Italy and will fight against J.Latipov of Uzbekistan for bronze medal. Two Mongolian boxers P.Serdamba, a State Honored Sportsman; and B.Tuvshinbat, an international master of sports, have been eliminated. ** ** ** On August 3, the International Federation of Associated Wrestling Styles (FILA) hosted its Ordinary Congress session in London, UK. The various reports and program of activity for the period 2012-2014 were approved by the 121 representatives of National Federations and FILA Bureau. The Congress closed with the elections of the 6 Bureau members whose term had ended. They are Mrs. Natalya Yariguina (Russia), Mr. Stan Dziedzic (USA), Mr. Nenad Lalovic (Serbia), Mr. Al Shahran (Qatar) and Mr. Ik-Jong Kim (South Korea). The last member Mr. Daulet Turlykhanov of Kazakhstan was appointed by the second ballot. FILA warmly thanked Mr. Gustavo Rolle of Cuba and Mr. Jinqiang Zhou China who were unfortunately not re-elected for their great contribution to the development of wrestling in South America and China. The FILA also thanks the two new candidates, Mr. Grzegorz Brudzinski (Poland) and Mr. Khadem Azghadi (Iran) for their initiative and commitment. The elected members will stay in office for the next six years. In addition, the Congress approved a schedule of competitions to run in 2013. In accordance with the schedule, the FILA World championships will take place on 16-22 September, 2013 in Budapest, Hungary; the Wrestling Asian championships--in Delhi, India; and the Wrestling European championships--in Tbilisi, Georgia. Mongolia's Ulaanbaatar city will host the Team World Cup for Women Wrestlers as well. B.Khuder
