CJ Home Shopping sets up 2nd joint venture in China

SEOUL, Oct. 17 (Yonhap) -- South Korean home-shopping channel CJ Home Shopping
Corp. said Friday it has set up its second joint venture in China, this time in
the northern coastal city of Tianjin.
The US$10 million venture, formed with two Chinese partners, is set to start
selling goods on live television for 10 hours a day beginning Saturday, the South
Korean company said in a statement.
The venture, named TianTian TV, aims to generate 1.9 billion won (US$1.41
million) in sales next year, according to the statement.
CJ Home Shopping launched its first joint home-shopping venture in Shanghai in 2004.
