"KHAAN QUEST-2012" MILITARY EXERCISES APPROACHING

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The "Khaan Quest" international military field exercises will run in Mongolia for the peacekeeping operations.
Organized for eighth time, this year's military exercises are expected to attract over 1,000 servicemen and military officers from 12 nations such as Great Britain, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Singapore and India, as well the observers from Russia and China. Experience-sharing training will be held in five categories--training on staff, field training, hospitality, humanitarian aid, first aid, military construction and engineering.
An opening ceremony of the military exercises will take place on August 12 in the military training center with a participation of Ts.Elbegdorj, the President of Mongolia; the Defense Minister; authorities of the Defense Ministry, the General Headquarters of Mongolian Armed Forces; and foreign delegates such as Lieutenant-General Francis J. Wiercinski, commanding general, U.S. Army Pacific.
According to officials of the international military exercises, a tactical field exercise will run at platoon level with about 600 servicemen from four countries. It plans to carry out medical aid service in the most density area of the city for a week.
The military exercises training will last until August 23.
