PERMANENT REP PRESENTS LETTER OF CREDENCE

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ On August 8, the Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the United Nations O.Och presented his letter of credence to Mr Ban Ki-moon, the UN Secretary-General. The UN Secretary-General congratulated MrO Och on submitting the letter of credence and wished him a success. Mr Ban underlined that the UN highly appreciates Mongolia's significant contributions to the multi-lateral cooperation. Mentioning that Mongolia celebrated last year the 50th anniversary of joining the UN, the Permanent Representative thanked the UN for a support in implementing developmental goals, and said Mongolia wants to make its efforts for the international community's activities. He introduced the UN Secretary-General to measures taken by Mongolia within the presidency of the Community of Democracies (CoD) in 2011-2013, and invited Mr. Ban Ki-moon to the Ministerial Meeting of the CoD which is scheduled in Ulaanbaatar next year. Mr. Och also mentioned the government of Mongolia is realizing the Millennium Developmental Goals (MDGs) with 66 per cent so far. B.Khuder
