Four construction workers killed in predawn blaze

SEOUL, Oct. 18 (Yonhap) -- Four people were killed on Saturday in a predawn fire that engulfed a prefabricated building set up as a makeshift residence for construction workers, police said.
Most victims seemed to have suffocated to death in their sleep when the fire
broke out at 5:30 a.m. in the northern part of Seoul, police said. They were
reportedly construction workers, but their identities have not been fully
revealed.
The fire was put out just 13 minutes after it started, helping prevent the blaze
from spreading further into two neighboring containers. No injuries have been
reported.
Police suspect that a short circuit might have been behind the blaze, but added
that the exact cause is still under investigation.
