PRESIDENT RECEIVES MEMBER OF RUSSIAN STATE DUMA

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj received on Thursday Mr M.V.Slipenchuk, a member of the State Duma of the Russian Federation (RF) and deputy head of the Committee on mineral resources, exploitation and ecology. Mr Slipenchuk reported that a 15-member group has been set up at the State Duma for Burytia, Irkutsk and Altai regions with aims to develop the ties with Mongolia's border regions. He added that the Forum of Lake Baikal has been founded and that it has held first meeting recently. "It wants to collaborate with Mongolia's President in environment protection and ecological sector," he said. The the sides shared views on ways of boosting Mongolia's economic relations with Russia and its Buryat Republic. B.Khuder
