STATE HEAD RECEIVES DAI BINGGUO

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ New parliament and cabinet of Mongolia have been formed, and it is an important time for developing mutually beneficial relations and cooperation with the People's Republic of China, the President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj said on Thursday at a meeting with Mr. Dai Bingguo, a member of the State Council of the PRC.
Moreover, the ties have been in their most favourable period, full of possibilities to consider any matter, said the leader of Mongolia. The current visit of Mr. Dai Bingguo "is vital for our bilateral relations," he added.
Mr. Dai thanked for the audience and stated that he is visiting Mongolia to share opinions with the Mongolian leaders on developing of the Mongolia-China relations. He said it is a success that annual growth of Mongolia's Gross Domestic Product has reached 17 per cent. This is big success, and wished the new cabinet and parliament achievements.
The border between the two countries goes for some 4,700 kilometers, so China attaches a great importance to its foreign policy with Mongolia and greatly respects the independence and sovereignty of Mongolia, he stressed.
He is satisfied with a successful development of the bilateral cooperation in trade, economics and humanity, he said, adding again that China always gives importance to these good neighborhood relations.
The diplomatic relations between Mongolia and China turned sixty years, non-interference in the domestic affairs of Mongolia is one of the vital parts of China's foreign policy, he stressed.
In response, the President Ts.Elbegdorj backed views of Mr. Dai, adding he has similar to Mr. Dai's position on boosting the bilateral friendly relations and cooperation. Developing of the friendly ties and collaboration with China is one of the priority concepts of Mongolia's foreign policy, he underlined.
The countries should cooperate in overcoming the global economic crisis, for this "we should work on attracting investments, and I suppose that it does not contradict interests of any country," the President said.
Then the dignitaries shared views on the long bilateral ties in history and culture.
