VICE SPEAKER MEETS DAI BINGGUO

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ A Vice Speaker of Parliament and head of the Executive Committee of Mongolia's Parliamentary Group S.Bayartsogt received on Thursday a delegation led by Mr. Dai Bingguo, a member of the State Council of the People's Republic of China (PRC). The Vice Speaker expressed satisfaction with Mr. Dai's visit in times of forming the new parliament and cabinet and underlined that Mongolia's parliament and cabinet have always maintained and will maintain a direction of developing the long-term good neighborhood and friendly relations and cooperation with China. He is glad that the bilateral relations and cooperation have been expanding in all spheres with new contents thanks to joint efforts, he said. Mr Bayartsogt underlined that an establishment of the strategic partnership relations between the two countries was "a historic step". "One of the most important parts of the relations is the inter-parliamentary ties. I will make efforts to intensify the mutual visits of authorities of legislative bodies, groups and offices," he said and affirmed that the Chairman and Party secretary of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Mr Wu Bangguo has been invited to Mongolia. In turn, Mr. Dai said the two countries are friendly neighbors and that the bilateral relations and cooperation have been developing. The government of China attaches an importance to the relations with Mongolia, he said and hoped that the political ties and the strategic mutual trust will strengthen. Saying that the cooperation between the National People's Congress of China and the State Great Khural of Mongolia have good collaboration, Mr. Dai expressed readiness to intensify the ties in all sectors and to share experiences in legislation.
