STATE SECRETARY OF FOREIGN MINISTRY MEETS PETER TAN

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The State secretary of Foreign affairs Ministry, B.Batkhishig received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Singapore in charge to Mongolia, Mr Peter Tan on August 30.
B.Batkhishig said Mongolia wants to deepen the political talks and negotiations with Singapore, and to actively cooperate in regional and multilateral collaboration.
A great importance has been attached to forthcoming visit of the Permanent Secretary of Foreign Affairs Ministry of Singapore, Bilahari Kausikan to Mongolia. The State secretary is confident that this visit will give impetus to expanding of the two sides' collaboration with an economic content and to putting into life the matters an agreement on which was achieved during the last year's visit of Mongolia's PM to Singapore: to cooperate in housing program, financing a health sphere, improving an insurance system, to invite teachers from Singapore to work on introducing the Cambridge standards and to send Mongolian teachers to Singapore, to work out technical-economic justifications of projects on developing infrastructure.
Mr Batkhishig asked Mr Peter Tan to study the Mongoian side's proposal on establishing a cooperation memorandum between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs.
The Ambassador backed all suggestions and proposals of B.Batkhishig and congratulated him on new parliament and government. He promised to make all his efforts to develop the cooperation in all possible spheres, and expressed satisfaction with the above visit, addign that Bilahari Kausikan wants to see Mongolia's development and reforms.
